Wow! Thanks Lee for all that you shared. I remember you very well. You were one of the coolest, easy going guys in the corps. And you never lhad an overwhelming ego. You were cool as ice!

This is Daimon from NC...lead baritone. (Far left corner in picture 1, and far lower right in picture 4.) And all you've said is true. Rough season, rough ending. We won our opening competition in Townsend, MD., beating the Lancers. Then the next night fell 12 points and 4 points behind the Lancers. We knew our season was going to be a fight on our quest to maintain the Crossmen standard of excellence. But, to piggyback on what you've said, the excellence was in our work ethic, our willingness to work hard & achieve while maintaining family unity throughout the year. We fostered & nurtured relationships that have lasted nearly 40 years. And...I might add...I know of at least 30+ of those members who went on to teach either the Crossmen and/or other corps...you and I included, as well as teaching HS Bands, indoor color guard, and indoor percussion. Some of us even adjudicated in all of those arenas. Lots of us continued to even contribute to the music world in performing and/or writing.

So, what the 1985 Crossmen gave us was good fundamental music instruction & education, discipline, grit & determination, love & family with an instinctive desire to pay it forward. I am with you all the way Lee.

Thanks again for creating this moment of reflection for 1985 Bones!
